After some longer break due to a few “computer problems” we are back up and running. Murphy’s law is universally valid and responsible for the unpleasant to happen in the least convenient moment.
Thanks to regular backups of all data, no serious damage happened. The awareness that all important “tools and utilities” should be available at least twice is not new and will be followed even more strictly.
The Photokina (21. – 26.09.2010, Cologne) is just around the corner and will inform all photo-enthusiasts about new developments and must-haves in the world of imaging.
One of my personal highlights will be certainly the visit of PhaseOne, where a dedicated digital back (“Achromatic+”) for black and white photography will be presented. I will have the possibility to test one under real-world conditions for two days and will report in detail in one of the upcoming postings here on this site.
Finally, let me repeat my warning and immediate recommendation: Follow a regular backup-strategy and improve your “disaster recovery” plans. It can happen anytime to anybody.
Stay tuned …
